Here’s to 2006!

Another year has started. There’s always such hope and disappointment at the beginning of a new year. Hope that the year will bring something good. That resolutions made will be stuck to, that good will be found. But the disappointment comes in the holidays being over … with football (at least for my beloved Chiefs) being over (despite the fact that they played like a play-off team on Sunday). . . with days off from work done until May .. with nothing to look forward to until … well maybe Clayton’s birthday? But that’s no until July. Mine is a few weeks away, but not looking forward to that. Nothing exciting about 33. At least nothing that I can think of. But I do look forward to 2006 despite all of this, and just hope that it is a better year than 2005. ’05 wasn’t bad, but things can always be better.
